Okay, so maybe Trader Joe's Red Pepper Spread with Eggplant and Garlic isn't a crayon color yet, but it's colorful enough that we think it could be.

Our Red Pepper Spread gets its bright red--range color from its first ingredient, red bell peppers. Eggplant adds subtle flavor and smooth texture, while garlic and a bit of hot pepper give it just a little kick that complements the sweetness of the peppers. Called avjar in its native Bulgaria, this type of spread is a common condiment throughout the Balkan region. Its striking color makes it stand out on a cheese tray, and its vibrant flavors make it a favorite with crackers or baguette slices, or even stirred into pasta for a quick & out-of-the-ordinary weeknight dinner.
