Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate
When it comes to coffee brewing, do you know the difference between hot and cold? Of course, there's temperature, but the big difference is bite. You see, cold brewed coffee is never heated, so the oils and acids normally released when heated never actually pass through the brew. So while traditionally brewed (heated) coffees are often bitter, cold brewed coffees are more lush and fruity. Not better; just different.
You can, of course, cold brew your coffee at home. There's a catch, though. It takes 12-24 hours to complete the process (yes, there's a reason we hot brew our everyday cups o’ joe). That's why we developed Trader Joe's Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate. Each 32 fluid ounce bottle starts with a half pound of Arabica beans from the world's best coffee-growing regions. They're coarsely ground, filtered, and cold brewed. Because the coffee is concentrated, these 32 ounces are the equivalent of 96 ounces of coffee beverages when reconstituted with water or milk. We love this Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate over ice, paired with ice and blended, or even made into ice cubes. It's excellent for baking or cocktails, and makes a swoon-worthy dessert served over our Light Vanilla Ice Cream. We're selling each 32 fluid ounce bottle for $7.99. You'll find it in our coffee & tea section.
