February 3rd—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.
At the beginning of time, food was eaten raw because there was no way to cook it. With the advent of fire, food could be cooked, and that was good. However, as time marched on, many folks missed their raw foods, and made new efforts to include more uncooked morsels into their diets. While we're not here to advocate for either raw or cooked (can't we all just get along?), we will certainly attest to the great taste and excellent crunch of the raw foods in our Go Raw Trek Mix. True to its simple, descriptive moniker, Go Raw is just that, a flavorful combination of raw fruit and nuts - raisins, cashews, walnuts, almonds and filberts (a.k.a. hazelnuts, but "filberts" is just so much fun to say). This is a super mix to bring with you on that long hike, run or bike ride. It's also good to have around the house when you're looking for a power-packed, nourishing snack.
Since everything is raw, there are no added oils or salts in this mix. Because this mix is entirely unadulterated, we thought about calling it "Go Naked", but our better judgment won out. You'll win out with every bite of the pure, natural flavors of all the ingredients, with five grams of protein and 1.5 grams of saturated fat per serving. Each 16 ounce bag of Go Raw Trek Mix is $5.49, everyday.
