March 17th—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.
Every year, at about this time, the daffodil invasion begins. For about four or five weeks, our stores are filled with cute little green "sticks". Place these unassuming green sticks in a little water, though, and, quite miraculously, you get gorgeous yellow daffodils that will brighten up even the darkest room. (Oh, and they look great on a table next to a freshly baked pizza.)
Maybe even more miraculous than the flowers themselves, though, is the price. Each bunch of ten stems is a mere $1.29*, every day, for as long as we can get them. Think about it… fifty stems of bright, colorful daffodils for less than $6.50! One hundred stems for $13! It may sound like fantasy, but this is reality at its finest. But hurry, when daffodil season is over, we won't have these beautiful buds again until next year. Each 10-stem bunch of Daffodils is $1.29*, while they last.
*Ounces, price and availability may vary by region. Currently Trader Joe's Daffodils are $1.49 in our East Coast, Midwest and Southeast stores and $1.29 in our West Coast and Texas stores.
