April 28th—Fearlessly Archived—Still a fun read; price & availability may have changed.
Need a little treat? Something to brighten your day? We have just the thing. Small, yet satisfying. Simple, yet crafted with a stroke of genius. Chocolate, yet peanut butter. Grab yourself a couple of Trader Joe's Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups.
Like their milk chocolate brethren on our shelves, these are made with real peanut butter that's made with slowly roasted and ground Virginia peanuts. The luscious, rich, dark chocolate that envelops that peanut butter is crafted from cacao beans grown along the West African coast. Other peanut butter cup purveyors fill theirs with all kinds of "extraneous" ingredients. Ours are free of such things. We eschew artificial flavors and preservatives, and we only use colors derived from naturally available products. We're quite certain they taste better our way.
Each tub contains about 36 Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, each in its own paper "cup". The tub has a resealable lid, though consider yourself warned: replace the lid immediately upon removing each individual Peanut Butter Cup, or you may soon find the tub empty and in need of quick replacement. We're selling each 16 ounce tub for $4.29, every day (that's about 12¢ a cup).
