For some people, gluten-free is a fad.  For others, it's a way of trying to eat a little more healthfully.  For a large number of people, people with celiac disease, gluten-free is an absolute necessity.  Celiacs (see-lee-acks) cannot digest gluten, which is a naturally occurring component in many grains – wheat, barley and rye among them.  In recent years, the options for a gluten-free diet have expanded exponentially, though it can still be a struggle to find great-tasting options in some food groups - breakfast cereal is one of these areas.
