A Real Neighborhood Store
At Trader Joe’s, we really do want to be a part of the neighborhood. That’s why we handle all requests for donations and involvement in community events in our stores. Whether it’s a silent auction to benefit a local elementary school or a health fair sponsored by a community hospital, your neighborhood Trader Joe’s is the place to go. In fact, we’re so serious about our commitment to our neighborhoods, that each of our stores has its own Donations Coordinator.

We've been doing things this way since, well... since the very beginning of Trader Joe's. We think getting to know the organizations that are important to our communities makes us better neighbors. We also really enjoy being involved with our neighbors on a truly grassroots level.

Donations Guidelines
To simplify things even further, we have some basic guidelines you should follow when requesting a donation of any kind from Trader Joe's. (We promise that following instructions really will make the process a more enjoyable one.) Click here for Donation Guidelines.

Fighting Hunger in the Neighborhood
Fighting hunger is central to what we do. We are a grocery store. And, as you know, we like to do everything we can (like our products and stores) with a unique twist of adventure and spirit. That’s why we’ve worked out a deal with some of our neighborhood athletic teams. We’ve challenged them to join us in the fight against hunger by performing at peak levels. It’s a win-win for everyone! Plus, it’s fun.

Trader Joe's Hits That Help - Every time the Angels hit a double, Trader Joe’s will make a donation of $75 to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.

Trader Joe's Home Runs That Help - Every time the Dodgers hit a home run during a home game, Trader Joe’s will make a donation of $250 to the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank.

Trader Joe's Goes The Distance - Every time the Mariners hit a home run during a home game, Trader Joe’s will make a donation of $250 to the Food Bank @ St. Mary's.
