Our prepared foods run the gamut from salads to roasts to Mexican, Italian and Indian entrées. You’ll find these favorites throughout the store, from the fridge to the freezer and everywhere in between.
Our meats and seafood feature some of the best cuts we’ve seen anywhere - either fresh or frozen - at terrific prices. We’ve taken the liberty of marinating some of these treasures and making sure that all are of the best quality, flavor and price.
Bottom line? You don’t have to go to the Cordon Bleu to put a delicious dinner on the table. In fact, you don’t even need to know what the Cordon Bleu is. Just bring your appetite and your imagination - we’ll supply the ideas and all the fixin’s.

Got a hankering for a little something sweet? Or maybe salty? Being big snackers ourselves, we can relate. Some might say it’s our own self-interest that drives us to find the frozen treats, cookies, candies, nuts and dried fruits that fill our stores. No matter the motivator, we think the results speak for themselves.
Not content with mere ice cream (though we have that, too), our freezers are overflowing with internationally inspired desserts - tarts, cheesecakes and pies among them. If you’re looking for something a little less chilly, we have a staggering number of cookies, some traditional and some you’ll find only at Trader Joe’s. And if chocolate is your weakness, we offer a variety of high quality chocolates to please all palates.
Of course, we’re big fans of the salty side of snacking, too. The proof is in the pudding, or, in this case, the kettle-cooked, Hawaiian style potato chips, crispy tortilla chips and current harvest nuts and trail mixes. Salty or sweet, sophisticated or a little sassy, when it comes to snacks, we’ve got you covered.

We know how important it is to have healthy choices when you’re shopping for groceries. That’s why we stock our stores with all kinds of options for healthy living. It’s also a driving force behind our decision that Trader Joe’s branded products be made without artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
A stroll through the aisles of your neighborhood Trader Joe’s will reveal a great many low fat products for those looking to limit their fat intake. We’ve also developed a number of great-tasting high fiber foods that make it downright easy to incorporate more healthy fiber into your diet.
And have you seen our selection of vitamins & supplements? We carry only top-quality vitamins and supplements that are independently tested for quality and potency, and we sell them for a fair price. If you’ve shopped elsewhere for vitamins and been taken aback by the high prices, we think our prices will bring a smile to your face.

Organic foods and beverages are found in every corner of our stores, from the produce section to the freezers, the grocery aisle to the dairy case, the bread racks to the snack shelves. We work with suppliers around the world to create great-tasting, high quality, organic products that we can offer at excellent prices, every day.
All of our organic products are certified by a third party agency and meet strict organic standards at every level.
We don’t see the need to segregate our organics into a single section at the back of the store, either. You’ll find organics side by side with their conventional counterparts, giving you organic options throughout the store.

We’ve been called a gourmet store, a specialty store and a natural foods store, among others. Truth is, we’re all of those things, and a whole lot more. Sure, you’ll find unique items from around the world and a great many products made with natural ingredients and without artificials, but we’re also a good place to stock up on the basics you need every day, without breaking the bank.
We take basics like milk, bread, butter and eggs, turn them on their heads a bit and put them in the Trader Joe’s label. Milk and butter from cows not treated with rBST; bread crafted without artificial preservatives; eggs from cage-free chickens. Best of all, we offer these “value-added” basics at a tremendous value, often less than you’d pay for ordinary basics at other markets.
At Trader Joe’s, the Basics really are our bread and butter.

Our Buyers travel to the far reaches of the globe in search of outstanding wines and beers we can sell at great prices. A visit to our store will reveal an ever-changing assortment of fine wines that are excellent values. Sometimes these wines come and go quickly - what you find today may be gone tomorrow, replaced with yet another terrific value vino.
If there’s been one constant in our wine selection lately, it’s got to be Charles Shaw. Lovingly nicknamed “Two Buck Chuck” by a member of the wine press, these California wines have become something of a phenomenon in the wine world, and in our stores. Contrary to many an urban legend, these super-value wines began as the result of an oversupply of wine and a great relationship with a valued supplier. They’ve become the nation’s best-selling wines, not surprising when you consider the combination of low price ($1.99 - $3.49 per bottle, depending on the region) and great taste Charles Shaw wines offer. Depending on the season and the quality of wine available, our selection of Charles Shaw varietals will vary, but the quality never will.
In addition to wines, we’re known for our eclectic selection of beers. Craft brews/microbrews and imports are what we’re known for - you won’t find the “big brands” at Trader Joe’s. You will find interesting, craft beers in a variety of styles from around the country and around the world at great prices, every day.
